Ingredients
 
 

  • 100 g pearl barley
  • 200 g pumpkin
  • 130 g rock sugar
  • 2.5 liter water
  • 2 pcs Pandan leaves Pandanus amaryllifolius, Screwpine

Instructions
 

  • Remove pumpkin skin, pulp and seeds, cut into cubes. Add a small amount of water and blend until well pulverized.

  • Add in barley and water, bring water to boil. Cover and cook over low heat for 1 hour. Remove foam that rises to the top.

  • Add in rock sugar and pandan leaves(enhance flavor), stir until sugar is completely dissolved. Cook for another 10 minutes.

  • Serve hot or cold.
