100 g pearl barley 200 g pumpkin 130 g rock sugar 2.5 liter water 2 pcs Pandan leaves Pandanus amaryllifolius, Screwpine
Remove pumpkin skin, pulp and seeds, cut into cubes. Add a small amount of water and blend until well pulverized.
Add in barley and water, bring water to boil. Cover and cook over low heat for 1 hour. Remove foam that rises to the top.
Add in rock sugar and pandan leaves(enhance flavor), stir until sugar is completely dissolved. Cook for another 10 minutes.
Serve hot or cold.
