Almond nutritional facts

Almonds have been a part of the human diet for thousands of years and are considered one of the most nutritious nuts. Almonds are rich in fibre, protein, vitamin E, and magnesium. They also contain healthy fats that help lower bad cholesterol levels and reduce your risk for heart disease. Almonds are a source of protein. One ounce of almonds contains 6 grams of protein, which is 14 per cent of the daily value (DV).

Almonds contain antioxidant compounds called polyphenols which have been shown to help reduce inflammation in the body and protect against heart disease and cancer.
