What is turmeric good for?

Turmeric Fried Chicken Wings | MyKitchen101en
Yields: 8 pieces
Ingredients:
- 8 chicken wings (cleaned)
- 2 tbsps cornstarch
Ingredients for marinade:
- 1 tsp fine salt
- 1 tbsp fine sugar
- 4 tsps turmeric powder
- 1 egg (grade A/size: L, lightly beaten)
Instructions:
1 Dry cleaned chicken wings with kitchen towels.
2 Pierce chicken wings with holes using a fork.
3 Add salt, sugar, turmeric powder and egg to chicken wings, coat each well with marinade. Keep refrigerated to marinate for at least 5 hours or overnight. (Reminder: Marinate the wings longer for better taste.)
4 Set aside the marinated wings at room temperature for 1 hour before frying.
5 Add cornstarch to marinated wings, mix well.
6 Preheat about 600 g of cooking oil, turn to medium heat, deep-fry the wings for 7-8 minutes, until golden brown.
7 Turn to medium-high heat for 30-45 seconds before removing from oil.
8 Put fried wings on strainer ladle to drain off the oil.
