- 100 g Pearl Barley
- 200 g Pumpkin
- 130 g Rock Sugar
- 2.5 L Water
- 2 Pandan leaves (Pandanus amaryllifolius, Screwpine)
1 Remove pumpkin skin, pulp and seeds, cut into cubes. Add a small amount of water and blend until well pulverized.
2 Add in barley and water, bring water to boil. Cover and cook over low heat for 1 hour. Remove foam that rises to the top.
3 Add in rock sugar and pandan leaves(enhance flavor), stir until sugar is completely dissolved. Cook for another 10 minutes.
4 Serve hot or cold.
